Our Story

Bojanam cafe is the brainchild of women, who are passionate about discovering new tastes and ingredients while staying true to our Indian roots. Managed by homemakers, who conceived this idea and toiled upon to bring it to life. They left no stone unturned to break the myth, tasty food cannot be healthy. “Bojanam “means a feast in its purest and divine state. We serve our age-old family recipes, fresh and simple as nature has intended, free from additives because we believe in preserving great family memories, no preservatives.

Cuisine

Our cuisine is a reflection of unique and classic South Indian recipes, which are prepared in our homes but rarity elsewhere. Food that evokes the most powerful nostalgia and reminds you of what your mothers and grandmothers fed you with love. Our chefs have taken these staples, enhanced them, which have evolved into our signature dishes. For instance, our own creation the Bojanam special halwa is healthy, melt in mouth delicacy with the goodness of veggies like beetroot, carrot and the wholesomeness from the multigrain which makes it a delicious, yet healthy dessert. The Bojanam special meals is a magnificent and royal treat. Oodles of thought and care goes into every pairing, which promises to have you come back for more. Our millets menu is specially designed with the health and fitness quotient in mind. A kid’s menu, for the little munchkins, which is a melange of traditional and modern, that tingles their taste buds and turns eating into a joyful experience.

Ambience

The concept of the restaurant reflects in its interiors, designed in such a way that, it reminds us of our traditional South Indian culture and our beautiful origin. Every feature has a deep meaning and back story to it. Like the design on the walls are called “kolams”, the south Indian rangoli. Women start their day by creating these beautiful kolams with rice flour, which is both considered auspicious and food for birds and ants. The elevation of the “thinai” setting and the party hall, depicts a traditional South Indian house with a thatch roof. According to our ancestors, it’s believed that when a person enters a thatched roof house, the heads have to be lowered, which symbolically keeps a person grounded. In olden days, thinai was the place, where neighbors and family members would have fun conversations while the kids play around. The lowered dining setting is a traditional way of sitting down and eating, which is believed to improve the digestion process. The wall adjacent to the thinai has a beautiful background with the traditional 9 yards Kanchivaram sarees, which are worn on auspicious occasions. The mattuvandi i.e. the bullock cart setting, which is our chat counter, depicts our traditional means of transport. Children can enjoy their lip-smacking chat, with the experience of traveling in a bullock cart. Finally, our see-through kitchen, which enables our customers to watch the food that is being prepared with love and care, which is of unmatched quality.
